The Collettes: Luna

Out now from Phaze

“Damn it now I’m horny she said and got out of the car."

“Did you have a nice meal?”

The soft voice asked and Luna whirled to see her visitor. Damn it I let my guard down! She thought angrily. The woman who stood in front of her was tall and her fiery red curls were flames against alabaster skin. Her jeans were well worn with holes in the knees and the tank shirt she had on had the bottom torn off so it looked ragged and showed of her flat abdomen. All in all she was not bad to look at and Luna could bet with all the fire sparking in her eyes she would be even better to drink.

“My meal was fine, wanna be my desert?” Luna responded leaning against the door or her purple charger. She smiled though lips still stained with the blood of her last victim and let her fangs been seen.

“I think I’d rather not. I’m here to kill you bitch.” The new intruder pulled a wooden stake from her back pocket and took on a fighting stance.

Luna could feel her irritation begin to rise. “Why do I have to be the bitch? You’re the one standing there with a weapon and ruining my night…..”

She did not get to finish before the girl with the flaming hoar attacked. Luna deflected her first thrusts with the wooden stake easily, she dropped low and swiped her off her feet. The red head landed on the grown with a thud but flipped up easily and circled Luna

“Listen little girl you need to go home before you get hurt. I’m feeling charitable tonight take the offer before I drain you dryer that a corn husk.” Luna said.

She came at Luna again who bent her back easily when a fist came at her face. The held the girl’s folded hand and kicked her in the stomach causing the girl to fall to her knees coughing.

“Ok what the fuck is your problem, do you know how old I am? And you come after me by yourself? Can you be that dumb.

“I’m not dumb!”

Luna was caught of guard when she rose quickly with a kick of her own to her shin, then brought her hand down across her back. Luna went flat to the cold hard earth but flipped easily to her back and rose on her feet without even having to bend. She saw the girl’s amazement and knew she was a novice.

“Trick of the trade Red, vampires we can levitate,” Luna said with a smile.

“I knew that,” the girl said stubbornly.

“Yeah sure you did, now how about you tell me why you are out here in the middle of nowhere attacking me? What I ate you girlfriend over there? I’ll be your replacement if you want we could have some fun. Luna licked her lips suggestively.

“I didn’t know her but you and your sisters killed some one I loved!” She came at Luna again this time connecting her fist to her stomach. “Ok that’s it little red riding hood!” her mood to play with this new attacker was over. She flipped the girl easily and let her land on the ground before she could even move Luna was straddling her and holding her hands down with her own. She let her fangs descend from her gums while the young girl watched in horror.

“Now how about you tell me who me and my sister killed, hmmm? Before I drain your blood” Luna asked

“You killed my father over that dammed amulet!” The girl under her spat out the words.

Luna’s eyes widen in surprised, she knew about the amulet and about her sisters. Who was she? As she was going to ask Luna felt her body shake as a new sensation unlike anything she had ever felt began along her arms. She watched at them and watched as her hands began to morph into that of a bats wing. She looked at the girl who was staring at her arms as well while the thin membrane of a bats wing started to form.

“Who the fuck are you!” Luna she was in shock about her body changing and this girl knowing so much.

“The girl looked at her defiantly. “I’m George Matthews.”

“I don’t know who your father is!” Luna replied. Her hands had finally stopped changing and went back to normal. Luna distraction was just enough for George who pulled let a small silver blade fall from the leather wristband on her arm and sliced at Luna skin.

The pain was instant and Luna hissed and rolled off her quickly holding the wound. The blade was treated with garlic and holy water and Luna could feel her flesh burning and pealing away at the wound.

“I guess I’m smarter than you though huh?” George said backing away. “Oh by the way my father was Creve.”
